The Holistic Royal Wedding Within Each of Us ~ 4/26/11

By Chris · Comments (0)
Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

As an RN and Tarot Reader with 4 planets in Pisces, I often have my finger on the pulse of the great collective mind, and I love finding the messages within that sea of consciousness.  This week, with the World tuned to the Royal Wedding, I am drawn to the wisdom of the Tarot and the Major Arcana card called The Lovers.  The Lovers card represents the Zodiac sign of Gemini.  Gemini is the sign of communication and the gathering of information that is inherent in all communications.  The image on The Lovers card shows us a Royal Wedding.  It symbolizes the active and receptive aspects of our right and left brain coming together in an alchemical marriage of clarity and peace of mind.  The royal figures are exchanging strengths, discovering potential and mirroring energies.  They are informing us that when the yin and yang energies within us stop opposing each other and join together, our attention naturally moves into the realm of the heart. Here the mind becomes a fluid alchemical potion of the Lover and the Loved.  When we are mindfully connected to our heart and are centered in this unifying vibration of Love, we can experience honest communication, expansive imaginative ideas of creative genius and miracles.  Our challenge is first to discover the activities that foster this potent inner alchemical marriage and then to listen and accept the communications of our heart.  Enjoy your Honeymoon and remember….What ever the question the answer is Love!

Discover your Key symbol ~ Decorate a Cosmic Egg ~ Celebrate where you are!

There are 5 universal shapes found in the art of every culture and the meaning given to each shape, cross culturally, is similar. Each shape stands for a process of growth present in all of us, all the time, but certain shapes will predominate at any given time. In your preference for certain shapes you can discover information that may support a transformation in your current life situation. These shapes are external symbols of your internal psychic states.

Oracle Instructions:

Draw these 5 shapes on a piece of paper.

Equidistant Cross(a plus sign), Square, Circle, Triangle, Spiral

Number the shapes 1 – 5 in order of your preference: #1 will be your most preferred shape, #5 will be your least preferred shape.

Order your preferences intuitively.

Please do not read any further until you have done this.

What each shape represents:

Equidistant Cross: Symbolizes the process of relationship and integration. This is a coupling, synthesizing, integrating and balancing process. We want a balanced connection to a project, group, person or to ourselves.

Square: Symbolizes stability, solidity, and security. We want and always need a foundation somewhere in our life.

Circle: Symbolizes wholeness and the experience of unity. We want independence and individuation. We need space, room to find our Self.

Triangle: Symbolizes self-discovery and revelation. We want to fulfill our goals, visions, and dreams.

Spiral: Symbolizes the process of growth and evolution. It is the process of coming to the same point again and again, but at a different level so that everything is seen in a new light. We want this new perspective on issues, people and places.

The meaning of the positions you put each shape in is a map of your inner landscape:

1. Where you think you are.

2. Your strengths.

3. Your Key symbol: Where you really are.

4. Your motivation.

5. Old unfinished business

Decorate a Cosmic Egg with your Key symbol (#3) and celebrate where you are!

Welcome to the Winter Solstice Issue

By Chris · Comments (0)
Friday, December 18th, 2009

The framework and timing of this series of 8 newsletters, is based on the 4 Celtic seasonal celebrations ( Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasadh), 4 solar events (Winter Solstice, Summer Solstice, Spring Equinox, Fall Equinox) and coinciding Astrological activity.  The Ancient wisdom of the Celtic calendar reminds us to honor and observe the rhythms, insights, and opportunities each season offers.

Celtic Festival of Winter Solstice:

The Essence of Power is Stillness

Winter Solstice, December 21, is a time of quiet power.  The word solstice derives from Latin sol (Sun) and sistere (to stand still).  As we honor and observe this season we are given the opportunity to be still, embrace the creative darkness, and allow our body, heart, and mind deep rest.  Celtic tradition holds life as cyclical rather than linear.  This is represented in Celtic art by the spiral.  The symbol of the spiral shows us the pattern of moving inward, going to the still-point of center (our Sacred Mystical Core), then turning outward, and bringing our Light out into the world.  When we honor this time of the longest night we remember that out of darkness, Light is re-born.  This truth can sustain us through difficult times in our life.

Meditation:

A Winter Solstice Spiral Journey

Settle into a comfortable position and close your eyes. Create a transition into Sacred Space by breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.  Allow your body to relax more deeply with each breath.  Feel the support of the Earth beneath you.

Visualize a large ancient stone archway engraved with spirals.  Feel yourself pass through this magical opening into a beautiful, quiet Winter Solstice night.  Breathe deeply and open fully to your connection with Spirit.  Notice there is a glowing spiral path on the ground before you.  Follow this path that gradually guides you into the heart of the spiral.  Once you reach the Sacred Mystical Core, the shimmering path disappears. Stand still and feel into the quiet power of the rich, creative darkness within you and around you. Rest in this precious emptiness.

Feel and visualize a peaceful Light growing in the darkness.  Allow this loving radiance to fill you. Experience your heart being ignited by the Sacred Solstice Light. See yourself as completely luminous with the Light expanding and radiating all around you. You are the embodiment of Winter Solstice and you are the Light reborn.  Rest in this expansive radiance.

When you are ready to return, notice the Spiral pathway reappears on the ground before you. Now the Light radiating from your core illuminates the path back to the ancient stone archway.  As you move back through the magical portal, and leave this Sacred Space, know you are a cherished Light in this world..

Astrological Activity for December and January

December 20 – March 10 2010. Mars retrograde in Leo
Life can seem to be moving in slow motion during Mars Retrograde so take care not to push.  Keep your energy in balance.  Use this time as an opportunity to practice patience, focus on completing long-term projects, and schedule time for rest!

December 26 – January 15, 2010 Mercury retrograde in Capricorn
Mercury retrograde in Capricorn presents another wonderful opportunity to slow down, re-experience something that was not recognized or honored, and turn around a missed opportunity.

December 31 – The 13th Full moon of 2009 in the sign of Cancer.
Blue Moon. Traditionally, a Blue Moon was the 4th full moon in a season.  Each of the 4 seasons of the year has 3 months, and will usually have 3 full moons. Each of these 12 moons has a name like “Harvest Moon,” “Hunter’s Moon” etc.  But when a season occurs that contains 4 full moons, there is no name for this occasional moon and it was given the name, “Blue Moon”.  This is the origin of the expression “Once in a Blue Moon “  that we use metaphorically to describe a rare event.  A Blue Moon on New Year’s Eve happens about every 20 years.

Also on this date with the New Year’s Eve celebrations, we experience the 6th partial Lunar eclipse of 2009.  Here’s to a feminine and nurturing 2010.

January 13 – May 30, 2010  Saturn retrograde in Libra and Virgo
Saturn retrograde is a great time to schedule a reading to look at your relationships and social contracts.

January 15 – Solar eclipse in Capricorn

January 15 – New Moon
December 31 & January 30 – Full Moons

A Winter Solstice Seeds of Light Meditation

Winter Solstice, Dec. 21, 2008 at 7:04 AM EST is the official beginning of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere.  This date marks the longest night of the year, when the power of the sun is at it’s lowest point.  The word solstice derives from Latin sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still).  Winter Solstice means the Sun is standing still in Winter.  It is a wonderful time to meditate on the powerful rich mysterious dark feminine energies within, and consider what you would like to symbolically seed, nurture and manifest in 2009.

For this Seeds of Light Meditation you will need 3 candles and matches.  Find a time and space where you will not be interrupted.
Sit quietly, surround yourself with love and light, and feel your body relaxing, sinking down into the earth.  From this grounded place, open to your connection to the spirit that is always within and around you.

Affirm out loud,
” I am the sacred garden for the seeds of my future manifestations.”

•  The first Seed of Light is what you would like to bring forth in yourself.
(examples: patience, discipline, acceptance, balance etc. )

•   The second Seed of Light is what you desire to bring into the love relationships in your life.
(examples: generosity, appreciation, loving attention, passion etc. )

•   The third Seed of Light is what you wish for the world.
(examples:  peace, communication, compassion etc. )

As you light each candle state your intention into the candle flame.
” As I light this flame, I seed_______  for my self”
” As I light this flame, I seed _______ for my relationships”.
” As I light this flame, I seed _______ for the world”

Close your eyes and take each of the symbolic Seeds of Light flames into your heart.  Allow the passion of your heart and the Seeds of Light to become one glowing light within you. As you sit in the silence ask your Guides and Angels for guidance and assistance in nurturing this light.  Take time to feel, see and know this light within you, listen intuitively and breathe deeply.

When the meditation feels complete, thank your guides, gently open your eyes and snuff out the candles.  You may repeat this meditation to hold the focus of these Seeds growing within you. Please know that what you focus on in life you will receive.

From Winter Solstice onward, the sun experiences a ” rebirth.”  Each day will see more and more sunlight until Summer Solstice when Solar influence will be at it’s peak. At that time you will be celebrating what has blossomed from these Seeds of Light that you have planted and nurtured on this darkest night.
